Stupid question

I just seen a really cool pit blind in the DIY. My question to the TBH braintrust is what's the purpose pit blind vs a ground box blind.

That is a really cool blind, i think i read on that thread that it helps with noise and scent control and keepin snakes out, id think youd be able to stand up and stretch your legs and still see whats going on, i stood up in my pop up last year to stretch my legs and i get back to my chair in just enough time to see a bobcat lookin at me while hes running off, very depressing.

But I wonder about water build up in it?

I think they said that they built up dam's around it to keep water from coming in..

I would think that to an animal it would be less threatening. Instead of this big black "thing" that doesn't belong over by where I eat, there is this small black "thing" that doesn't belong over by where I eat. I do know thought that one of those smelly 2 legged critters with the pointy sticks couldn't be in that small black "thing" cause they wouldn't fit. I guess I'll go eat some golden nuggets and feel safe
