    Broadheads for Hogs ad exotics

I normally shoot the rage 2 and 3 blades and I have had good luck with them on whitetails. I plan on killing some hogs and hopefully exotics while stationed here in Texas. I have seen that some outfitters require the use of fixed blade broadheads. I used to shoot muzzy's, but I wasn't pleased with their performance all the time. Any recommendations on solid broadheads for the hogs? I have been looking at the slick tricks, magnus, and g5's. I just can't make up my mind.

I have always used the same broad head for all the animals I shoot, I have killed all of them you mentioned and done so with a mechanical.. I never have hunted a place that didnt allow mechanicals though!!!! I shoot woodsman and magnus with my traditional gear and would use either if I were going to hunt a place that didnt allow mechanicals!!!

g5 striker is the sharpest blade on the market, flys good, slick tricks have earned a great reputation and fly well and cut good holes, maybe not as durable as some but i have no issue shooting them, magnus heads dependale and less money than many, you could throw in muzzy phantoms, steal force phat heads also, theres a lot of choices, if you got the cash i would say grab a pack each of slick tricks, strikers and magnus, give them all a try

I've always used the same set-up that I use for deer.

I recently bought some slick trick magnums and they fly true out to 35 yards as that is as far as i have shot them so far. Can't say i have shot anything with them yet though.

Thanks for the info guys. I think that's what I will do. I am going to try the G5's, magnus buzz cuts, and the slick tricks. I will let you know what I come up with.

I like the Slick Trick Mags. They fly well and will flat leave a hole.

As said above, the G5 Striker is VERY sharp. It's all I use and they seem to fly very well too. I have some HellRazors, but they make too much noise for me. I've also shot the 2 blade Stingers and they are very durable.

Steel Force PHAT Heads, very sharp, cut on contact and I have successfully shot and killed out to 70 yards with them...

I shoot rage at deer and Razorcaps at hogs. The razorcaps are a great cut on contact broadhead that can be shot over and over. they are easy to sharpen as well if you need to. No sense in wasting a good mechanical broadhead on a hog.
