Update on my Heart Condition

If it ever comes to it, the ablation procedure isn't bad. I had one done years ago. :

I went in to have an ablation performed about 5 years ago. The ablation isn't bad, IF your bad pathway origintes in a part of your heart where they can send the catheter easily. What's bad is having to pierce the heart with the catheter to get to the other side. This procedure that I would have done is more complex and risky than an normal ablation. They actually call it something else, but I can't remember what it is! Thanks for the kind words, though...it means a lot!

Glad things are working out better Audra. A friend had, I think, the same problem as you. He went with meds and they worked well for him. They eventually took him off and things were good for a long time. He had a small episode and they put him back on again. He says, either way, it's working well for him and he can live with the meds just fine. I hope for your continued well being.

P.S. I now understand why you handle things so well on here, you work around elementary kids all day.

Sorry, I guess I forgot about the "pierce the heart" part I think that may be a little more serious than what I had done. I truly hope the meds keep working for you and you don't have to go through that.

Wow, That's great news! I hope the new meds are all you will need and that you can take them long term with no ill side effects.
