I shoot handloads....1300 fps 1oz. #8 - 12ga. (Hodgdon Clays powder, Remington STS hulls & AA hulls). Good load, and Clays burns very clean.

Dang! You can reload fast. At 3 shells per trip, that's reloading 100 times per minute. What does that drum's plug look like anyway?

I do the handload thing too. shoot 7/8 oz of shot out of my Beretta 20 ga o/u and it is just deadly. you don't need to shoot a shoulder thumping load - just get a mojo dove and then get out in front of'em.

10-4 on that...I love 1 oz loads of no.9's ,handloaded to hi brass stds. in my 20 gaO/U, I back down the umph a bit but still use 1 oz 9's for quail over the dogs....really an awesome load,,,,

                I roll my own so...

I have found a good 1 oz. load of #8's for my 12 gauge at 1300 fps and a good 1 oz. load for my 20 as well. I shoot modified and full out of my Remington 3200 and it will slay a buch of them this year.

I like Federal's 20 ga 7.5s. Hard to find and are reasonably priced. But I will buy whatever is cheap. I shoot a wingmaster that was my grandpa's squirrel gun. Full choke, no options. I can hit doves along ways off and just let the ones that get close crap on me.
