    What road feeder is best

I am going to buy a feeder to mount on my Jeep, Which one works the best. I have been looking at the Boss buck feeders, The 50 lb one has a spin tec motor and a plate that blocks the funnel so there is no corn loss while moving. What else should I look for ?

spin tech at the minimum.... I have a Sweeney 100# and will be adding a spintech to it...

I just hang a sack out the window, keep my hand over the hole to contol the flow, and let it fall out. It's the cheapest one on the market.

We only use Venado Feeders, they also make them in different colors to match your hunting truck

Venado or Lamco. the low profile feeders are what you see alot of the jeep driving hunters down here using. Also depends on where your going to mount it, front or back?

I agree with the spin tech motors. They save A LOT of corn.

Anyone make one I can hang on the "tailgate" of my Polaris Ranger?

Jeff, I don't know if I'd put it on the tailgate. I dont' think my tailgate would hold up with a road feeder on it.

I'd go 100 lb feeder over the 50. I'd also go the low profile feeder and spin tech is great, but I just have a directional feeder on mine. Here's a couple pics of mine on my Ranger. I use the tailgate brackets, but hang it from the front bumper. I also wired it into a toggle switch on my dash and did away with the wires from the hand held switch.

It's the same kind of feeder. I bought it at Lissy/Eckle in George West. About $175 or so if I remember right. It's my second one. My middle brother drives the berms on our roads like a maniac and threw my first one off and ran over it. Looks a lot like Scotty's in the above pic. That's one reason for the bungee. He tends to forget and likes to fly over the berms with all 4 wheels off the ground.

The one at Boss Buck's web site looks to be the same kind. My Ranger also has a 2" receiver hitch and I could also put one back there, but I just like it in the front. I can see when it throws and put it right where I want it.

I like our All Season's because it has a gate that keeps you from spilling corn when you are driving around the lease and not feeding.

Are there any other truck feeders that have that available? Most I've seen dribble corn all over the lease.

Mine has a gate, but I don't close it, usually. I don't really lose any corn while riding around. I have it marked where it needs to be set so that I can throw corn, but not throw so much that I empty my feeder too quickly.

I'd say get which ever one you can that has the Spin-Tech spinner on it. I modified my All Seasons and put a Spin-Tec spinner plate on it. No more corn on the road UNTIL I want it on the road!
