    Another year in the books!!

Well it is now "official". The 2013 ASA tournament season has come to a close, with the completion the state championship, hosted by Abilene Bowhunters Association. It was one crazy hectic year, with more qualifiers than ever before. 21 seperate events held through out the state, and one of the 21 was even in Arkansas.

The turn out this weekend was outstanding, and the courses set were phenomenal!! There were uphill, downhill, side hill, open, shady, open and shady, close, far and everything in between all bundled into 30 of the most impressive sets seen in a long while. It was a course that the winner could truly be called a champion for mastering it!

Mike and Tracy Smith once again have raised the bar for other states to aspire to with the program they have developed. Their tireless efforts have taken the Texas ASA Federation to the top of the list nationwide, and kept it there for years. I would like to throw out a personal Thank You to both of them for putting so much of themselves into the game we like to play. I can't imagine what it would be without them!

The Championship and Shooter of the Year scores are now available at:

Congratulations to all, and next year will be here before we know it!

Congrats to all the winners this year. Great job by everyone involved with making Texas the greatest archery state in the US. I missed seeing everyone this year and hope to be back at it next year.
