2nd Annual Cinnamon Creek Classic Feedback

Gratz to all the shooters that won some money and to all that braved the heat this weekend. We enjoyed all of the folks that came and shot with us and we look forward to next years shoot!

With that being said, anything good can always be made better and the best measure of our success is your enjoyment of the facility.

I am asking for any and all constructive criticism, good bad or ugly in regards to how we can make it a better shoot for next year.

    Any responses are greatly appreciated

    Erin

    How about a combo shoot?

Throw in a half a 5 spot round or ASA/DAIR... from 30 yards(time limit). Could make it interesting.

What about moving it to late September before bow season. I would keep the 3-D format and add a field round target on some stakes, like a 60 yard target where ya shoot more than one arrow. It was a great shoot today

Im thinking the shoot needs to be earlier in the year when everyone is still in 3d mode. Many archers end their season of 3d at the state shoot and go in into hunt mode afterwards. Im thinking the weekend before the paris pro/am when everyone is looking for a place to shoot. If not I think holding the shoot any time before state would draw more shooters.

I like the date because it was nice to have one more tournament before the ASA Classic. I have no complaints or suggestion about the course. Y'all did a great job. Maybe have at least one staffer at the registration area all day to answer questions and direct people to the right area.

Again great job to all who helped make this a fun event.

This was an awesome shoot, the course was great, and we had a good time...even in the heat.

            The CCR Facility was awesome....

And how many in the Open and Bowhunter?

Since so many agree having it earlier in the year would be better, and there are so many qualifiers that conflict with it (that is why it was re-scheduled this year). Is it possible to run it concurrently with the ASA qualifier CCR hosts? People pay a separate entry fee and turn in the same scorecard for both events?
I know- Smallcat will not be happy with this suggestion...

I have a few questions and comments addressed to me already by people I don't even know due to my constant presence at CCR that I'd like to talk to the event coordinator about in order to make this shoot bigger and better next year. Contact via email for Joe or otherwise would help greatly as I want to make sure everything is typed out accordingly and appropriately. See ya'll soon! THE NEXT CLASSIC IS ONLY A FEW DAYS AWAY!

Just a few things constructive criticism wise that was brought up to me and one that I firmly agree with.

Miscommunication here and there. Have only one or two people specific to talk to for tournament questions and details. A few of people were told this or that that apparenlty was misinterpreted.

Prize money was confusing. I spent 35 bucks and made 300 and I'm thrilled HAHA! However a few people including myself were told that a percentage of every entry fee would be added to the pot and that wasn't the case. I don't care either way as I cashed in!!! That however was confusing to quite a few parties. I'm not bitching about free money LOL!

The one I do not agree with however was the changing of the yardages in Trad class. Again that doesn't matter to me the distances. I can shoot it all. It was listed on the flier and TBH that the yardages were 20 and closer and that was not the case with a shot pushing 30 and a few 25+. I know this discouraged a few people from coming out that practiced for this shoot that heard it differenlty from saturday's shooters. I don't believe that to be okay with it being officially posted.

All in all it was a BLAST! Thanks Joe and CCR for offering up some quality casino money for this weekends ASA Classic!!! Great shoot and I feel it was harder than the ASA state championship! Ya'll really made us have to shoot our shots and shoot them well! I'll be out there daily putting in the time to make sure I'm ready for ASA World's. Anyone wants to shoot a round tomorrow at 9am just pm me and we'll do it! I hope to see this shoot grow into what it could potentially be..one of the biggest if not the biggest in the state of TEXAS or the U.S. if it's all done right.

You mean a Wolfe? Very difficult to tell with legs and head not visible. Whomever set that target deserves an ice cold Dr. Pepper. The "wolfyote" was the most deceptive targets all year.

I think I shot it in the face.
