We had a great time shooting the new ASA Indoor game at Smithfield Archery last Saturday.
The scores will be posted today at www.texasasafederation.com
This new game brings a new atmsophere to indoor archery. I think its is a combination of the interaction of the shooters and spotters, the choices that have to be made after a missed scoring ring and the decreasing time scale. At other indoor events you do not hear the laughing, talking and even cheering that goes on at an ASA Indoor shoot. The new computer timing program adds a cool element to the game as you can constantly know how much time is remaining. I found myself slowing down and taking my time even on the 1:40 and 1:20 ends by knowing exactly how much time was remaining.
Congratulations to Chad Parker. He shot a perfect 440. Chad never took over a minute on any end to shoot his four arrows. He is a speed demon.
Todd Poole, Kurt Page, Rocky Doty and myself all had 400+ point rounds.
Here are some pictures from the shoot.
