It's a brand new year and we are off and running! The Spartans from Banana Bend came out on Sunday for a friendly spot-hunting competition.
Jack, Jim, Mark, Mike, David Roger and myself got together at Salt Grass for a little fun. We each threw a few dollars in the pot and Jack took it all.
Jack has the first archery pot of the season, but I'll get him sooner or later.
We are starting the regular season on the 23rd and 24th. The first tournament will be for handicap for the Spartans and a regular club tournament for the 3-D shooters. We will have food and drinks, so come on out and play with us.
The parks department is working on the electric service, so if they haven't finished by this weekend, they will be finished soon.
I am looking forward to a great season. Come out and join us this weekend for a good time!
Best regards, George Avouris Pres. of Saltgrass.

Just a quick update. The range is pretty wet, so y'all may want to bring your boots. There is some standing water in certain areas of the range, hopefully it will dry out before Saturday, but if not, you'll be glad to have your boots with you. I don't believe mosquitoes will be a problem, but you never know.
Also, I got a call from the parks department this morning and they are saying it is probably going to be next week before we have electricity. They were hoping to have repairs completed before this weekend, but I am sure you all know how it is dealing with FEMA.
