Local Tourneys?

hey guys do yall know of any tourneys around the nacogdoches/lufkin area or east texas in general comin up? im thinkin about maybe competing in the future and would like to go see one first to git an idea of how they work maybe yall could explain a little about em to me and let me know how to get involved

We are working on the 2010 Texas ASA schedule now. It should be complete by the end of next week. It will include at least 14 state qualifier tournaments statewide and the state championship. When the schedule is completed I will post it on this forum.

how does the scoring work?

TFAA indoors.
Shoot 12 rounds of 5 arrows per round for a total of 60 shots.
Targets score 5,4,3,2,1 on the single spot target and 5,4 on the five spot target. If you can group pretty good you would want to shoot the five spot to save arrows.
There is an "x" ring inside the 5 ring that counts as a 5x.
A perfect score would by 300-with 60x's.
This game is shot at 20 yards indoors.

This is a new game that is a lot of fun and played for money.

The Tyler Archery Club has 3D shoots the first Sunday of the month starting Feb 7th and in March we start fiekd the 2nd Saturday of the month.
