This year was a little slow for me. Too little rain and lack of pigs. Too much work. Too much apathy. Too much meat in the freezer. Injury and repair. You name it I too often found excuses not to go or just couldn't go. Or just not to fill tags when opportunity was easy.
Lately I've been frustrated about it and the lack of deer opportunity. Decided to take a couple shots at other opportunities yesterday. May have to get the .22 to get enough for a squirrel stew. I missed him once but he was dumb enough to come back.
The turkey was a good pass through which clipped the heart. Dropped in 20 yards.

Congratulations to all who scored this past year with their single string bows. May next year bring you continued success.

I’m a little late posting but had a pretty good season with the longbow. The thunder chicken was taken the week of thanksgiving. The buck I gave a scar on the first week of December then finished him on 12/19/22. As you can see the shot was not ideal but gave him plenty of time and found him in his first bed 150 yards from the shot. Congrats to you all on a successful 2022. Happy New Year! I hope 2023 is just as good if not better.
