First my daughter came home from college and said she wanted a gun, had to be blue. So I put some thought into it and then did some research and decided I would get her the same gun, I got for her mother, but in blue. That is a PK380. The wife and daughter are both about the same size and build. The wife loves her PK380. She has managed her only kill with that gun. She shot a skunk one day, some years back.
So I searched the world over looking for a blue PK380, after a lot of calls and searching, I found one, actually in stock. Walter makes or has made two different blue PK380s. I found many all black PK380s, nickel slide/black frame PK380s, multiple purple PK380s and a blue zebra stripe PK380. But only found one blue frame PK380. So I bought it, paid a good bit more than the prices I found listed elsewhere, but I only found one, anywhere actually in stock, so there was not much negotiation on price.
Then I went looking for other stuff, last week and tripped over the mother load of 10mm ammo. So I bought some more 10mm ammo, even though I have a lot and then have a lot of brass, primers, powder and bullets to make more 10mms. In all my years, I have never seen anywhere near that much 10mm at once. But no 380 ammo, I have looked everywhere for 380 ammo, got a big zero on that plan.
Since we now have two 380s in the family now, I need a lot of 380 ammo. So I started searching the world over for 380 bullets, powder and primers. Then I found a company, that seems to have a lot of two different 380 bullets, so I bought a bunch. Then found powder, cheaply. Now, I just need to find those small pistol primers, I never figured I would ever need in my lifetime. I swear, I have never bought or needed small pistol, non magnum primers. I have used small pistol magnum primers for 357s in the past, but never the small pistol non magnum primers.
Then in my search for small pistol primers, I found some long discontinued .308 caliber, 130 gr., Sierra, Single Shot Pistol bullets, still in the original box. Never thought I would ever see any of those again.
There are some products coming back in stock, hopefully most stuff, will be back soon. But I have a bad feeling, it will be a while.
