    Henry’s with loading gates

Anyone else excited about these? Supposed to be offered in more calibers/models down the line.

In the past, our lever action rifles have drawn inspiration from the era of the original 1860 Henry - tube loading, brass receivers, exquisite attention to detail, and a commitment to American gunsmithing. We’ve never been ones to rest on our laurels, and the Model H024 Side Gate Lever Action proves our dedication to a modern interpretation of the traditional lever gun. Introduced in 2019 as the first center-fire Henry to feature a side loading gate, the H024 blends classic sensibilities with a contemporary feature set. In short, we’re bringing the best of both worlds - offering a choice between our standard removable tube magazine for safe and easy unloading and a side gate to keep the magazine topped off.True to Henry form, the Side Gate Lever Action boasts unrivaled material quality and a level of craftsmanship rarely seen in other modern firearms. The hardened brass receiver is as robust as it is handsome, and the brass accents continue throughout the rifle with the buttplate and barrel band. The American walnut furniture is set off by intricate, deep checkering that will ensure a firm purchase on the stocks. A semi-buckhorn rear and ivory bead front sight accompanies a 20″ round blued steel barrel to deliver the accuracy you’ve come to expect from a Henry. In the Side Gate Lever Action, its namesake feature takes center stage. The best-of-both-worlds design allows for quick reloads and top-offs so you can keep running and gunning for as long as your ammo lasts without even having to remove the stock from your shoulder. If you prefer, you can also load through the removable tube magazine, which hasn’t gone away here because it also provides safe, fast unloading. The result is a rifle that lets you use it in whatever way works best for you.Offered in a suite of five calibers ranging from the time-honored .30-30, to the new for 2023 .360 Buckhammer, the Side Gate Lever Action is as versatile a brush rifle as they come. From whitetail hunting, to days at the range, to standing as a cherished showpiece in the gun cabinet, our Side Gate Lever Action is a must-have for any lever action aficionado, and it solidifies Henry as the first name in lever action rifles.

I saw that. Looks very Marlin. I guess some patents and certain designs are all fair game now for any maker. The Long Ranger Henry makes looks like a Browning BLR.
I am sure it is a solid rifle if Henry is making it.

Would love to get one in 35Rem, but at $1000 I’ll just get another jm Marlin for less than half that

It still had the tube load option also so completely different.

Retail will be quite a bit less and easier to find.

            Yup and likely better quality.

Having the option to unload using the tube is awesome.

I haven’t seen a JM Marlin go for cheap in quite a while.

Hmmm, I must have missed the dual feed option. Just looked at the pic quick. Yes, unique.
The side gate is big if you are suppressing a tube fed rifle. The 22 lever we shoot trapped pigs with is tube fed with a can on it. We have to unscrew can each time we reload. A PITA. The side gate is a nice feature.

No side gate loading was the reason that the Henry's never interested me. That's a nice rifle, and I believe that they will do well with it despite the high price if it shoots well. My son has a Remington Marlin that I can hold to about 1 MOA with iron sites. That's pretty hard to beat, but there are quality issues with other parts of that gun that are not an issue with the Henry's that I've seen.
