Spent my lunch our over at Boyert in Katy today and thought I'd share for those who have not been. Putting aside the pricing in their retail store, the shooting range is a good value. I paid $18 for an hour on a 25 yard lane with automated target system. $1.96 per target after the first one but I think you can bring your own as well. (not certain)
The range was clean, very well ventilated and I felt very safe but never had a range officer looking over my shoulder like some places. The cool thing is that they charge per person per hour and allow unlimited guns. Compared to Hotwells where you might have a whole "family" lined up around one pistol taking turns because they charger per gun with unlimited shooters. Also, Boyert allows rapid fire! In fact they have full auto rentals available.
I got to break in my new Canik and then moved out to 25 yards for some off hand shooting with my 300blk. I will definitely be going back there and probably will only use Hotwells now for sighting in rifle scopes.
