    22 Creedmoor

I’m obsessed with getting a 22 Creedmoor but not looking to spend $3000 on one at this time. Besides Fierce and custom manufactures are any other companies going to go with this caliber?
What are your thoughts on this caliber? I’ve already put up one of my Bul armory pistols in the Classified section to offset the cost.

Horizon and Fierce are the only factory guns that I know of. There are plenty of more cost effective options out there when it comes to building them. One option that might be worth looking into is buying a Tikka .22-250 in 1:8 twist and having it re-chambered to .22 creed. Another option that might be worth considering is going with a .22 ARC if you do not want to mess with building one. Ruger has their gen II americans in .22 ARC that are sweet guns if you can get your hands on them.

As far as the caliber, we love it. It is so versatile and flat shooting that they are our go to guns right now. My brother has shot 3 deer with his in the past week and I like the results we have got from predators and pigs this far. I have started loading for it and we have our Horizons shooting well less than 0.5 MOA with multiple different loads. I would not hesitate to buy one.

I got a Horizon 22 CM for Christmas and I'm really impressed with it. You can definitely find those for less than $3k, but they're still not cheap.

Best bang for the buck is prob going with tikka 22-250 1:8 and rechamber to 22CM. I did this to my tikka 223 for $135 only downside to it is needing a diff bolt face that was $300.
Another option if you have a TC encore or can find one pick up a barrel from SSK. I have 1 of those too and love it.
I have a 2 and small sample size so far but on big MO whitetail and big hog performance was awesome. Both are very accurate. I doubt my other rifles will make it out of the safe much now.

I've been shooting one for alittle bit. I've shot hogs, deer and oryx so far with it. What a nasty little round. All pass through shots with lots of damage. I've been shooting the 77grain Barnes LRX. Another buddy of mine has killed about 30 WT hogs and mule deer with his. He likes the Berger VLD.
I got mine off of here, in the classifieds, but in the process of a custom build. I'm just waiting for the action to come in.
Horizon makes some great shooters, I'd go that route if your looking to buy one ready to go.

I received a Ruger Precision rifle in 308 on a trade. But since I already have a full custom 308 I pulled the barrel off the RPR. Ordered a new 22 CM barrel from Preferred Barrel Blanks website that I’ll spin on whenever it arrives. I think they have a 10-12 week wait time currently.

May try buying a savage 6.5 creed and looking for a prefit 22 creed barrel.

Find someone getting rid of a Ruger American 6.5CM, either buy a barrel or send the action to Preferred Barrels and have it fit with 22 Creed barrel. I did get an email from them last week that they had barreled actions in stock for around $1700.
