    Gunsmith in the Tomball/Magnolia Area

Does anyone have a good gunsmith they would recommend around the Tomball/Magnolia area? I'm having issues with my Remington 1100 and tried my best to fix it myself but keep finding a new issue every year. Thanks for any help provided!

Texas Arsenal now has a gunsmith in house. Haven't used the gunsmith but the guys have been great for suppressors and gun parts.

Thanks! I just spoke with Lohman and they are setting up a time I can bring it in.

Its a cycling issue. At first, it would not eject the fired hull and I replaced the o-rings and finally got it cycling again until the dove opener. It started out shooting great then it would eject the hull and chamber the next shell but the bolt wasn't fully engaged so it wouldn't fire the second shot.

I would proceed with caution here. I saw a report where this guy had done a poor job of bedding a rifle and ghosted the customer. When he finally found him he refused to make it right. The issues could have been easily fixed. He insisted on being paid before the work was started so the customer had limited recourse outside of small claims court. As usual there are three sides to every story.

By chance, are you shooting reloads? My 1100 will not cycle reloads

I've worked with Bryan and Levi probably 10 times (prior to second shop opening) and find that hard to believe based on my interactions. Hopefully they've been able to maintain the same quality service at new location in spring.

I dropped a CZ 457 for cut, crown, and threading at precision barrel work in hempstead just yesterday. I was blown away by the shop and the gentleman (forget his name) running it. "Here take a look what I'm working on." We sat and shot the **** for a few minutes as we talked rifles. My gun is in good hands, no doubt. 2 day turnaround for all the above services whereas Briley was 4-5 weeks for simple threading.

That's Peter Pieper at Precision. He is one of the best around.
