My wife brought home one of those margarita buckets a few weeks back. You just dump in a bottle of white tequila (Jimador is good and inexpensive) and put it in the freezer over night. It thickens up but doesn't turn into a block of ice. They were surprisingly good.
I'm gonna have to add some amendments to the next batch. Some of the stuff suggested above sound great!
This is a recipe I developed for my Margarator machine, but had to tweek it a little for a blender size version when my machine crapped out. They are a big hit every time I make them.
Big Mike's Itallian Margarita
4 oz frozen lemonade
4 oz your favorite tequila
6 oz amereto
4 oz triple sec
12 oz water
Put everything in a blender and fill with ice. Blend till smooth. Enjoy.
Drink the Tequliia Straight, throw the salt over your shoulder and the lime in the empty glass... !! Nah.... Use Use clear (silver 100% Agave) and Jose Cuervo margarita mix, then replace tripple sec with green apple schnaps! It's good!
i like the jose already mixed so all u have to do is add ice in a blender. i like to add some sour apple pucker or watermelon pucker. i also like to add the already sweetend kool-aid, any flavor. really good. the kool aid takes the tequila taste out( which is good or bad depending how u look at it ). enjoy!
