    Hog Hunting

I have a lease in the Gorman/ De Leon area in Comanche county. I know there are hogs in the area because I have seen them on the side of the road about ten minutes from my lease. Any tips on getting the hogs to come on my lease?

Put a feeder up and they will find it within two weeks. If you have seen one pig there are 100 more in the area.

Most of your neighboring leases will probably quit feeding after deer season. If you keep your dinner bell ringing I bet that will bring them over eventually. Also corn the trails that lead from adjoining properties to your feeder - help em' find it.

There are two types of deer leases in Texas. One has hogs now, and the other will have hogs soon.

Be careful for what you ask for. Although pigs are fun to hunt and ever better to eat, they are very destructive.

I have a friend that is big into hog hunting and he uses half a bag of hog wild and two bags of corn then mixes them together with a little milk in a 50 gallon drum and puts in feed spots. He says it works great.
