I concur. Alright. I decided to call it in and stay home since it is projected 80% rain today. Don't wanna get my new bow all wet. . Hahaha.

There are always other days. I will try see if I can sneak out for tomorrow's hunt. If the weather cooperates. Since the ground will be wet. Easier to sneak up on em. We will see.

Oh by the way! If you kill a hog, where do y'all dump the carcass? Someone dumped the carcass right by west entrance near the trash can. All its legs sawed off and strewn all over the walk path and the carcass cut up and left right there for everyone to see.

I think that may be a bit of extreme. I think should be put somewhere else, less conspicuous. As a courtesy but I am no expert at Granger. As it is my second time there. So I want to hear everyone else's input. That way I know where to dispose it where y'all usually dispose em. To its boneyard!

That was ours Phillip. Thought the critters would take care of it.

Well today was interesting. Worked one area that I haven't in a while and nothing at all after allot of walking. Then hit another spot and heard some rustling. Got within 10 yrds and didn't even see them. Big one busts out to the right and another two go left and stop. Drilled one of them. It took my arrow with it, but found it a few yards in the direction they ran after the shot. Arrow looked good, but blood trail was nonexistent. Pushed to the next bedding area, nothing. Then on to the next were I jumped two, possibly my hit hog and the one he ran off with. They broke out and I never got a shot. As I was pushing through to follow them, I come to a clearing and see a pack of piglets running towards me. I thought about shooting one, but decided to try to grab one instead. The hunt ended there. Guess I'm going to just become a farmer instead of a hunter.

Dawn liquid will kill the lice off the piglets and u can feed her or him the powdered milk mix from tractor supply....and deworming liquid....if you stick there snout down in the milk in a small metal pan they figure it out pretty quick....no need for a bottle. u should have caught 2.

Went out today, the rain and wind never materialized, but it was a great hog day. Damp and little wind.

Did not see a single hog though. First time that has happened in a long while. I got the overall feeling they just weren't in the area today and had moved on to greener pastures (literally), so decided to cut the hunt short and go fish for a bit. Brought home 5 whites for the skillet, but was overall slow on the river for fish.

I might go out again tomorrow to and try some different areas, but not sure. This is the last weekend for hogs and it will be too green.

Here's a pic of a brownie a got last weekend:

I'm with Dirty Mike, dress 'em and cut meat aleave them were they fall. GRXH we put them in the river. This year was FREPIX. Nine pigs in camp and a couple that didn't make it.

I had no pack, so more than one wouldn't have worked. I wish I would have grabbed a striped one. They just look cooler. Thanks for the tips. Are those lice or ticks?

Cover his little butt from snout to tail with fresh 30W motor oil. It'll kill ever parasite that ever thought about living on him and it gets rid of the eggs too. Leave it on him for a couple of days and give him a bath. He'll be squeaky clean with baby soft skin.
Oh, it's not a good idea to do this when the weather is hot.
