That's what I've been watching on the ACE district sight. Spoke to 2 Gents yesterday that went there yesterday morning before heading to where I was. They said nothing was biting yet.

      Nice striper TG!
Went to the nolan this morning. Didn't make it out over the weekend. Wasn't expecting much, not much flow- 29 cfs. My brother and I caught 50 or so white bass in a couple of hours, but they were almost all small- around 9".
I'm thinking it will kick off for real after the next rain.

How far up the Nolan are yall fishing? Is it possible to launch a boat at Nolan river park and had up the river?

I was on Whitney Monday, Nolan Ramp is usable. I launched at Indian Lodge and went almost to Rock Creek on the Nolan. I didn't catch anything- boat ran good though.

I was a good ways upstream from rock creek. Parked on 933 just south of Blum, and walked in.
It's definitely possible to launch at Nolan park and head upstream. I've never done it though. When I take my boat out, it's to fish in the lake, or the Brazos around Plowman. It's so easy to walk in to the nolan, that I prefer that for the white bass run. I was wearing waders yesterday, but didn't need them. Where we caught them, you can just stand on the bank.

I don't have to fish from a boat, I don't mind walking. Never been there though and didn't know if you could walk the bank and fish. Thinking about trying tomorrow morning if everything works out.

Just park along 933 where rock creek flows under the highway. There will be other vehicles there. There's a clear walking path along rock creek. From 933 to where rock creek hits the nolan is about 400-500 yards. Once you hit the nolan, you can either go left/downstream, or right/upstream. We were to the right on tue, about a half-mile from where rock creek flows in. My brother was back there yesterday and again caught a bunch, mostly small. If the next rain brings the flow up, things will really kick into gear.

Grandbury has had a nice release of water all day (458 cfs). Being .05 feet above normal, I expect they will continue for at least another day.

W lake is .22 feet above normal.

A lake is .87 feet above normal.

TG A lake is still releasing water as of yesterday. I may have to break out my jigging stick today.

I wish I had gone there instead of the river. Still no fish upstream. But did catch a few female sandies on the lower end. They are fat! And no catfish harmed. Grandbury was releasing water most of the week at my prefered rate. Then shut it down Friday afternoon before I got down there. Got there to late to set cat lines out Friday night. Had to wait till Sat morning for that. No bites on those.

I was heading down to do a little hog population control and maybe try to catch a few sandies. I looked at the weather for Wednesday and Thursday. Not gonna happen. I'm too old to be traipsing around in 5 degree weather. I'll wait a week.

Good choice JD! These old bones just don't work like they used to.

yeah, I took my dog for a walk this evening and lasted about 15 minutes. He loved it. Me, not so much. What happened to the guy that could sleep in 4 degree weather at 12k feet? It's changed to 40 degree weather and 12 feet.
