    Elements 6 resizing pics question.

I am trying to post up a couple of photos from my new 40D but they are way too big. I have Photo Shop Elements 6 and resized them to the required 800x800 but now I get the message " Your file of 514.4 KB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 146.5 KB for this filetype."
I just installed Photoshop yesterday so I'm still trying to figure out how to use it. Anyone familiar with Adobe Elements who can tell me the quickest and easiest ways to reize the photos so I can start winning some monthly photo contests around here? J/K. Could use some help for real though. Any suggestions are appreciated.

    File>Save for Web>

You will see two pictures. The right one is the adjusted file size. It will list its file size below the picture.

Now, make sure its set to JPG file. Click on "Quality" and adjust the slidbar until the file size below the picture is less than 146.5KB. Save it.

Disclaimer: The above are based on Photoshop Elements 2.0. I am assuming that 6.0 has a similar feature and that it works essentially the same way.
