Are you thinning or taking all the cedar? I like thinning some openings and putting strips through it. I like cedar for hunting covers and shorter cedar for screening.

I’ll get some pics of the top edges. They love to gnaw on it too.
I had to do it on one probably 5 years ago. I have some that are pretty old and the hopper section looks brand new. Just one that one it got real dry and started cracking up like that.

This feeder is only 3 years old. I was wondering why the spout got chalky and dry looking. It’s definitely different than the hopper.Last edited by PondPopper; 05-09-2025, 09:56 AM.

Finally got my tree tubes in yesterday. I think I’ve got 20-25 still doing good. I will get them tubed and mulched today and tomorrow.
they are pretty expensive for what they are….. but trees are a ton of work. And every force in the world is against you. Deer, hogs, rabbits, ants, wind, heat, voles, gophers, herbicides, weed eaters. They don’t solve all the problems…. But they help with a bunch of them1 PhotoLast edited by Low Fence; 05-15-2025, 06:29 AM.
