Are poults and fawns out in Brown County?

    Or surrounding counties ?

Predators usually get ours early, but I haven’t seen any.
Lots of ground cover and food so I am hoping for better survival rate this year

    thanks

I haven't seen any on my place in Mills county. Got a bunch of does about to pop. Won't be long.

I haven't seen any but my neighbor sent me a pic late last week of a fawn on the ground so I think some of the first does bred are dropping. The last tc pics I looked at showed does ready to pop. Here's to hoping there is ample cover to have a high survival rate.

I have at least one fawn that I've seen so far.

          Thanks guys for the responses

saw my first fawn today !
strangely, he appeared older and was moving across the ranch road.

sure at least one of our house does has her’s hidden

I had a long weekend at the ranch this weekend. I didn't see any fawns but I tried to only stay on the roads and leave them be. With that said I sat in the stand Saturday evening and saw 2 does with milk bags so they definitely had fawns and the fawns were likely close.

Got a pic of these poults today. Just getting big enough to fly. Also seeing lots of fawns. Hope with the weeds I have we can get a good survival rate. This is in Mills county.

Looks like y'all had a great hatch! I've seen a few so far but most of our hens are still hiding. Hopefully we have a hatch like you did.

I’m in NE Runnels county and I’ve got more poults than I’ve seen in years. But we have been working hard at clearing some undergrowth and getting the grasses back. Also hammered the coons and possums this spring. I know we will lose a bunch to the coyotes as they are thick out where I am.

Fawns have really showed up. 3 sets of twins so far. But the big trick is survival now.
No poults but only a few hens on this place.
