String waxing?

I wax mine when it starts getting fuzzy/dry looking. usually once a month, unless its gotten rained on or needed cleaning.

I just use the bohning wax. Doesn't have to be fancy or expensive

Need to wax before it gets fuzzy, that is a sign that it's dry inside the string,and that's no good.Try a small piece of leather to rub the wax into the string, it will prolong the life .......Good Luck.

I like the Venom product-it rolls on the string in liquid form. More expensive than the raw wax, but no rubbing it in with friction. Amazon sells it, as well as lots of bow shops, like mine at Knocked and Loaded in Lampasas.

I may over do the wax a bit, but then again I like to shoot most everyday. I just use the Bohning wax, but I re-wax each night after shooting. Compounds and trads the same.
