    Compound help

Green out of the compound game for a couple years and want to get one for a potential elk hunt in the next year or so. If you had $750-$900 to spend, new or used, what are you buying?

There’s a couple of used bows on here. But I’d probably go to a shop and buy new just for the warranty

That price range puts you out of the flagship lines, so you're looking at mid-price bows these days if you're buying new. The Prime Ronan would be, IMHO, very hard to beat in that price range. It lists at $850 I believe. On the used side, the world is your oyster. The used Hoyt Carbons (RX8) will be taking a price hit soon as the new Hoyts come out in a few weeks. The next few months will be the best time to buy used as guys jump to the next year model.
