I need some help with a DIY project... which makes it not so DIY but you know what I mean. I have this neat old wood burl that I found while I was out hiking around in Crockett National Forest with a couple of friends. I would like to turn this into the top of a hiking stick. I think the wood needs to be stabilized, and then mounted and blended into a strong wooden pole. I have all sorts of ideas on how to do this, but no real tools to do it right, and probably someone knows "the right way" to do what I am trying. I am willing to pay for the help and what not. I am in Houston.
