    DIY Sheep Horn Revolver Grips

I acquired the knife from blade-smith Kim Ralston this past spring and it has quickly become my favorite. Perfect size and the scales are flat gorgeous.

I knew eventually I wanted to try to match the scales on my favorite revolver, a Freedom Arms M97 in .41 magnum. I had the barrel chopped to 6” and it’s a perfect packing pistol for me, on my long walks around my lease.

Anyway, I found a set of sheep scales from a knife supplier that I thought I could get a set out of and here are the results. Not perfect by any means, but I’m pleased with the result. Holster and belt also done by me.

That's a nice pair there, Randy! .41 is also my fav wheel gun round.

I love sheep horn for grip panels. They are pricy though, I guess them sheep don’t give them up too often.
