Early primary voting has always seemed wrong to me and once again it has resulted in a lot of wasted votes. Some states started early voting in January when there were still over 10 candidates on the ballot for president and millions voted early for those who have since dropped out. Based on the state polling average, 55,000 Texas Dems likely voted for Pete and 50,000 for Klobuchar. Some voted for them the day they dropped out. Also, what if you change your mind on who you support after you vote due to something they say or some scandalous thing about them gets revealed? Admittedly I am crying crocodile tears for the democrats and I enjoy seeing them pitched into chaos. However I will always wait for a race to reach completion before making my choice. IMO early voting has gone way too far and is bad for democracy. Let’s go back to just absentee ballots - at least in primaries – for those who can’t vote on election day.
