Anyone use synthetics?

Got an 04 f-350 w 75k on it, looking to see if the synthetics are worth it and where in the Southlake area they might do this kind of a change? Have heard about amsoil and Royal Purple but don't know much more than that.

i run royal purple and like it, my truck started to run cooler after I started using it and seemed to run better/smoother. plus you dont have to change it but every 8k miles, change filter @ 4000 and add a quart...good to go

amsoil here on a 2001 f-250

synth is the best for diesels my dad drives semi-truck over the road and that is all he will use in his semi and his personal.

I use amsoil...using amsoil with their oil filters you can go 25,000 miles between oil changes.....

I use Amsoil. You can send in a sample to blackstone labs and have it analyzed the first few changes to determine when you really need to be changing. I subject my truck to a lot of dust so silicon is always my problem. I change every 8000 based on my results.

If you do allot of heavy hauling Amsoil recommends changing at 15,000.
