“My full name is Buford Uon Davis, but nobody calls me Buford ‘cept my grandmother, and she’s half Indian. My initials are B.U.D., it spells Bud.”

    Yep, I’m old.

I think I loose IQ points every time I watch it, but that is what makes it oh so good!

The eight track tape of the urban cowboy soundtrack was the only thing my mom listened to in her 79 country squire station wagon with simulated wood panels on the side. I got sick of it back then but I miss it now

One of the most overrated movies of all time. Good soundtrack though.

Two things come to mind. 1. How many pheasant died to make all the feathered hat bands after the movie came out and 2. Vinnie Barbarino as a Texan.

We did enjoy the movie though. As mentioned, great sound track but I never owned the recording. Likely not one I would watch today.

Come on now, you know you had one of those hat bands. We all did.

Urban Cowboy was the beginning of sky rocketing truck prices. Everybody and their dog had to have a truck. Instant rednecks.

Of course, went up high in front too. My wife still has our belts with the names on the back somewhere too.

Great movie for the time. And, I drink a few beers at Gilleys and G's Ice House with old Sherwood Cryer.

                              Sound track was awesome.
