HS Baseball Playoffs

I have to say that I’m disappointed that they don’t make the teams play a best of 3 series each round until the state tourney.

Seems like the best way to determine the better team IMO.

The coaches have to agree on number of games, field type, location, officiating crew. If they don’t agree then they flip a coin for each one.

I don’t have a problem with doing that for field, location, and officiating crew, but at this stage in the playoffs these teams are all good. They should be playing a 3 game series.

Tied 5-5 going into thee 7th inning Maypearl scores two in the top of the 7th to go up 7-5. Boyd says hold my beer and walks off 8-7 in the bottom of the 7th. Wall beats Corpus Christi London so tomorrow at 9am Boyd vs Wall for all the marbles.

Watched both 6A games at Dell Diamond today. Flower Mound capitalized on early CyWoods errors to advance. Dominant performance by Pearland to run rule Austin Westlake.

Can't anyone say China Spring didn't earn the 4A ship! Back to back brutal games for those young men!

We lost to Argyle in a game we should have won. Ump behind the plate made it a miserable night for both sides. These boys still made history as the first Boerne Champion team to reach State. My kids last HS pitch was a K to finish the game.

Boyd won the class 3A State Championship 6-4 against Wall. They ended their season with a record of 40-5 and only lose 3 seniors non of which were pitchers. They are going to be on the mix for awhile. I believe they beat a few 6A teams along the way.
