I didn't want to hijack the other stained concrete thread so I started another thread.
MY wife and I are making an offer on a house today that was a rental at one time. It's in pretty darn good shape for a rental. Anyway, it has stained concrete floors in part of the house and part of it has had the carpet removed and is unstained. You can see the little pockets made in the concrete by the carpet tacks. The stained part looks pretty rough.
Is it possible to repair the stained part that is a little rough looking by sanding it down and re-staining it? Or, will buffing it a bunch take care of most of it?
For the areas where the carpet was removed I'm considering wood flooring or some kind of laminate.
