Took kid fishing with his Dad. His first trout was oversize. We were able to catch 3 upper slot trout for them to take home. Bite shut off and wind got bad.

Solid Glen! Congratulations - So good to see the "RETIREMENT ZONE" zone, is giving back!

I'm thinking that spot needs a new name, "DOUG'S TROUT HOLE?"

Doug wore out "CURT'S HOLE" in the Upper Laguna Madre on a trip with me.

He had JUAN - that was oversized with today's TPWD slot size - BS.

Not hating them but, we know it's BS.

If you hit a 30", need literally a certified scale, digital camera and 2 witnesses in the boat, all executed at the same time quickly, to not kill the big girl, before that new record is documented.

I complained in the 80s and 90s about this, records must be broken, yet......we can't kick arse with the rules in place today.

So we all have to fish Texas in 2023, with no Pride.

The only SUPPORTED PRIDE, doesn't fish for records.

And if they do, I ain't on that boat.

        WORD!

Finally figured out how to resize pics on my phone. Here are the three trips I’ve taken since sitemageddon. That red was 32-33 inches long and fought him on 15-lb test from one side of the dock while he rubbed pylons and splashed around on the other side of the dock 3 different times. Heck of a fish catch!

Pretty slow night tonight, but managed a few, including a 33 inch red and a bonus flounder.

Going offshore Thursday on a snapper trip, out of curiosity. What’s y’all’s favorite way to cook snapper? I’ve always done ceviche and grilled with some Cajun seasoning and butter

Used to do a lot of fancy stuff with it, but now I just fry it usually, which is awesome.

Oh man, you can make ceviche with almost anything. Snapper should be baked, broiled, or pan fried.
