19 Days to Kill - Live!!! New Mexico, East Tx, North Tx, Illinois

Been in a tree since 2:00.

Coupe of first for me this evening.

First time hunting this spot.
First time hunting out of a saddle.

So far so good on both occasions.

Just had a yearling come thru & 50 yards.

Got a straight East wind so I entered the West side of the farm on the pipeline and dropped off in the creek bottom. Deer have been using this draw to travel and this is where the shooter 8 came from the morning when he entered the bean field.

There will definitely be a permanent stand down here next year.

Another yearling just came thru from the South 90 MPH. Thought something was after her but haven’t seen anything yet.

Had a 6 point come thru at 40 yards at last light.

Pretty slow hunt this evening.
Kade saw a Coyote, handful of yearlings and a doe.

Weatherman is calling for snow & rain in the morning from 6:00 - 10:00. Hopefully it’ll bust loose after it stops.

Settled in on our last full day to hunt.

We’ll head home tomorrow at noon.

I’m posted up in a set we hung on Saturday. Kade has seen a lot of deer coming out of the big timber and traveling the edge of this wood line. Anything out of the North works good for this set.
Got a little more East in it than I would like this morning but it’s supposed to change to NE in the next hr.

Chances of snow dropped over night. It’s snowed about 30 min this morning at 5:00 but it’s didn’t stick. Overcast and wet so far.

Hopefully we can fill a tag today.

Just had a decent buck cut across the field 150 yards to my South headed West. Got my wind and did a 180 back to where he came from.
Got some sleet falling now. Looks like it’s gonna be a nasty day.
I got Bryce’s arrow loaded for today’s hunt. Hopefully it’ll be solid red before the day is over.

Sleet has turned to a light rain.
No more deer movement since the buck I saw earlier.
I would like to think this weather would have them on their feet but that’s not the case yet

Painfully slow morning.
Rain has stopped. It’s super calm. Almost too calm.
Gonna sit till 12:00 and then change properties. Wind is supposed to change to NW @ 12:00

Made a property change.

Back in my saddle in the same draw I hunted yesterday but on the East side hunting a west wind.

Had a shooter here on camera this morning. Hoping we can make it happen this evening.

It’s definitely turned into a grind at this point.
