Just finished supper. Elk back strap, Mac & cheese and baked beans.
Watched the footage with the ranch manager and he says they have absolutely no history with the buck and have no idea where he came from.
Fingers crossed we get another opportunity tomorrow with zero delays on confirmation. Lol

Sky is lighting up. Feeder spun @7:00.
We are back at it this morning in the same blind we hunted yesterday.
Talen is about 600 yards from us in the same ladder stand he hunted yesterday morning. He has already had deer at his feeder.
We got a steady South wind working in our favor.
This is our last hunt for this trip. We’ll be headed South no later than 12:00 noon.
Definitely hoping to get another opportunity at the big 10, but Bryce has said he is shooting the first target that gives him a shot.
We’ll see what happens. Movement was great form 8:00 to 9:30 yesterday morning.

Another spike in the feeder pen. Wind is picking up and the sun is in full effect.
We’re gonna sit till 10:00 then head to camp to pack up.
Going to try and be on the road by 12:00.
No more action for Talen.
We would love to stay for another evening hunt, but it’s just not gonna work out that way.

We are packed up and headed home. Had an awesome time and saw lots of animals. No complaints at all about this trip. Both boys had shot opportunities and the camp was very nice.
We should roll into town around 6:00 this evening.
Got the youngen catching the first shift of driving.
Really appreciate everyone following along and the positive comments.

19 Days to Kill - Live!!! New Mexico, East Tx, North Tx, Illinois
Bringing it back to the top for the 4th leg of the live hunt.
I landed in Houston this morning & raced home to meet Kade. Jumped in the truck with him and we are headed North to Illinois just in time to catch some awesome weather.
Talen is flying up tomorrow night and will hunt with us thru the weekend. Kade and I will have 7 days to get a Big Ol Good’n on the ground.
We have several shooters on camera. Temps have been warm and deer movement has been slow as per some local guys I’ve talked to. So we are super excited to see temps in the 20’s from Friday, all the way to next Wednesday.
We have a 11+ hr drive ahead of us and should roll into camp around midnight tonight.
We’ll hunt a South wind tomorrow and it should be all NW wind hunts the rest of the weekend.
I’ll keep it as live and pic heavy as possible!
