I need 19 days to finish this harvest season.
Been seeing lots of does and lil bucks up here, along with a few mature ones.
Going down to 23 tonight.. good killin frost.

I tried to get Summer to shoot her this evening but she wasn’t having any of it. I’m gonna try to take her before I go back to work. She needs to go! Old, smart and just looking for something to blow at. Lol

Settled in and waiting on daylight.

I’m hunting Summer’s stand this morning. Sitting on a pipeline that runs North and South. Good bucks have been killed here the last 2 years on opening day.

Kade is just South of me in his Stand. He had a great hunt yesterday evening too.

My Dad was supposed to have hunted with me this week but couldn’t get the time off of work.

It’s 33 degrees and the wind is showing to be calm till around 9:00.

I’ve got a feeder pen to the North in the pipeline and a feeder pen to my West in the woods.
Pretty much just sitting here to see what shows up and enjoying the woods. The Bulldog is the only target buck that has been here. But it’s mid October and we always have new bucks show up this time of the year.

3 does and a small 6 so far.

Pretty slow here compared to my box stand yesterday.
The South end of the lease definitely holds more deer.

Last I heard from Kade he had a pretty nice buck spotted.

Well I knew I would see him today. Especially with Summer & Talen not being with me. The Bulldog crossed right at the edge of the River. He was in the feeder pen at 6:30 this morning.

I’m sticking to my guns on getting one of them to kill him.

Another Doe just stepped out as I’m typing this.

Definitely a healthier herd than last year. Our bottom stayed flooded all spring of 2021 and hurt their browse.

I think it’s just the pic but I could be wrong. I was focusing more of the North side of him when he stepped out. Lol
