So, I have RV hook up at the house.
My M-I-L lived in a 5th wheel for a couple of yrs here.
We have since purchased a camper.
I have a lift station tied into my septic.
It has not been turned on in at least 4 yrs.
We had a family member stay in the camper over the weekend and went to dump it yest and the lift station doesnt work.
There is a short in it or the motor is ceased up. Either way, it is broke.
From my understanding, these units are made to be used often and letting them sit could contribute to not working.
I can see us using it twice a year at most. I always dump my camper at the campground dump station when we camp.
I dont know that I can justify fixing it right now since we dont use it.
I dont know what the cost for a new motor would be but Im guessing not cheap as the station itself is about $1300 new.
I think it'd be cheaper to buy a portable dump tank and pour into my cleanout valve for my septic.
