Ten Point, Ravin, Mission, & Scorpyd are good high end bows.
Centerpoint & wicked ridge make a more budget friendly bow.

I am shooting a mission as of now. The things I liked when I bought were: You can change the sting without a press
You can decock without shooting an arrow
It has adjustable limbs like compound bows, so you can take all the stress weight off of the string during the off season.

With that said, my next bow will probably be a Ravin.

I bought my daughter a PSE Fang. 300 bucks. Accurate as a rifle. I hunt with it often. Im on small acreage with heavy pressure. Almost impossible to draw my compound on a mature buck without spooking him. I hate hunting from a blind. I wish to be in a tree. I want to be part of the entire experience so I have hunted with it for years now for my bucks. Hunting from a blind with archery equipment does nothing for me. Even moving an xbow into position can spook my deer from a tree.

It has a cocking tool and a safety. You would more easily hurt yourself with a compound than with it. I don’t understand what these super expensive xbows offer for the increased price. Mine is a tack driver.

I bought the Centerpoint Wraith 430. Son of a gun is flat out fast. I had 6" 3 shot groups at 70 yards, off of a bench.

I have a brand new Tenpoint Wicked Ridge in the classifieds. They are good solid bows and are very quiet for their speed.

A buddy of mine has one of the Centerpoints, 370 or something maybe, and it is a tack driver.

Centerpoint 370 won't breakvthe bank at $300. Shoots just as good as those $700 to $1000 and higher xbows. Great for beginners and experienced hunters.

Wow, is that common for quality xbow to shoot well at such distances? Sounds fun for sure

I have seen them, and shot them.
They are still wider than most high end crossbows.
                                Google Excaliber micro limb problems.
And no they aren’t fast compared to todays compound crossbows.
Excaliber uses a 350 grain arrow to post their arrow speeds. The big boys use a 400 grain arrow.

Don’t get me wrong, Excalibur makes a good crossbow, but it’s outdated technology.
