German Malinois. Great family pets, protectors, and companions. Very intelligent and can be taught to do anything.

Most of the dogs listed above need a lot of exercise to keep them from getting bored. When they get bored they get into stuff and tear it up. I'd look into a non working breed, unless you have time to work them. I'll probably get beaten up for this, but I've always been partial to pit or pit cross dogs, but only if I get them as young as possible. They have a bad reputation, but you usually only hear the bad stuff. Not sure how many we've had, but only one of them had a trigger, and I got her at several months old. Take your time on your decision and it's nice to see people do their homework before rushing into something they don't want, or can't handle.

I guess I’ll be the first to say JRT, but that’s just the best for me. I don’t know what’s best for you. We bought this little feller for my son when he was just a kid. When he moved out Sarge stayed with us. He tracks and he finds. He has tackled unhurt boar hogs that could kill him, if they could catch him ! He loves everybody but he’s definitely my dog. Yep, he just has one eye now…..long story.
