Ain't no way I was going to buccees on a holiday weekend!! But I'll likely stop in there from now on since I come from Dallas on my drive in to our place.

I had to return about 10 bags of corn to the ennis buccees week ago. I’d was wet and molded. Manager said they had a bad batch but I think they let it get rained on. Just check your corn when you pick it up

I’m going to try to get food plots in this weekend. It’s gonna be a gamble on future rain. But I’m betting there is good soil moisture. I just hope we get another shower soon. May get them prepped and wait ti drop seed.

I went down after the big rains a few weeks ago and couldn't believe how dry it was. Don't count on moist soil! We may have more sandy soik on the east side of navarro though. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

I got my plots in this weekend. In the bottoms there was still some moisture in the ground but up on the hill it was pretty dry. Of course No rain in the forecast so we’ll see what happens

I had hogs rooting in one of them the first night so I don’t think rain is my biggest issue.

All I did today was shred and fill a couple feeders. I think I’m gonna spray this week then wait until our rain chances increase to drop seed and drag. May not even disk heavy this yr. To save moisture. I have a lot of doe/fawn but not mush buck action

Is anyone else noticing less action at their feeders? I had a couple of groups of does showing up pretty consistently but they have been MIA the last week or so. The pigs on the other hand are ramping up like crazy!

I have not noticed any difference. I am southeast of Navarro Mills lake. The place my cell cam is though I not only get the feeder but I also get to see what is crossing the field behind it.

Bucks yes to some degree but does not really. It's to be expected tho with the green up after the rain. I'm still holding off dropping seed until we get some decent rain chances.

Anyone noticing any acorns? I haven't seen any that have stood out yet as abundance.

Made a quick trip out, only chevalier one cam but zero bucks the last week. This heat has scorched the dirt already again. Looks the same as it did before the rains came. Really hope we get some rain soon

Anyone hunted yet? Got some movement for sure on the cams. All times of day. Targeting the new moon as I haven't made it to the stand yet.

I was out opening weekend. The weather was awesome! Saw a few does and a pile of hogs. Everything wanted to stay out of range though.
There’s still so much to browse on that they aren’t interested in the feeders much at my place. The bucks aren’t moving much at all. Hoping that changes soon.

Haven’t hunted yet but I still have a lot of doe activity, only catching a few bucks traveling. It’s really dry at my place. Gonna plant this weekend as it looks like some rain chances next week and want to be ready. Gonna try to hunt once or twice this weekend.
