Every university athletic program has them, some more in the limelight than others. Nothing new for the last 40-50 years. Social media and cell phones with video and cameras has made this type of behavior more in the open in today's society.

Cupp was a big kid for a 3A school so he dominated when they did throw him the ball because nobody ever played the pass against Brock they ran the ball almost every down . And every once in awhile they would surprise a team and throw the ball over the top to a wide open cupp because teams were playing the run . So he technically is a blocking TE because that is what he was mainly used for in High school. He needed to learn how to run routs but never really got to learn that because of all his injuries so he basically got passed up on the Depth chart . He is a good athlete but honestly I don’t know if he really was a high end D1 TE . And probably really isn’t after his bad ankle injury two years ago .

Yeah but there was a reason why he hardly saw the field if it wasn’t for injuries last year he wouldn’t of seen much playing time last year. I think he was trouble from the start but I think Jimbo was giving him a chance to change his ways but apparently that didn’t happen.

It seems very little effort is put towards determining if these 5* recruits can actually play or if they have 5* work ethic..... I had 2 relatives playing here in Texas... Same position, different graduating classes... One ranked #1 nationally in his class, the other #30 nationally in his class..... My assessment was that I've seen 6 or 7 guys that I would take ahead of either one... The one ranked #1 has scarcely played, the one ranked #30 has gotten significant playing time.... Both at programs that some of you gentlemen are fans of.... Choose wisely my friends.... The right Jimmy's and Joe's for your X's and O's.... Wasn't he running with the #1s this Spring? Twitter told me that.

He was splitting time there. But that 5-Star freshman (Johnson) who got paid to come with his LSU brother QB is the buzz of practice. This other kid Blake Smith is generating lots of hype too. I hate to see him leave for depth reasons but replacing 0 starts, 0 catches, and 0 TD's shouldn't be too hard.
