I purchased a Rough Country 32” curved light bar a year ago and custom mounted it in my Legend grill guard so that it would stay behind the upright bumpers (bump gate protection). I did some research before I purchased it and talked with some friends that owned them with great reviews. These are middle of the road lights - not the best , not the worst. My light started flickering in January but it was intermittent so I made it through to feb. and it finally completely quit. I chased all of the wiring and the problem came back to the light. I thought it was out of warranty so I went ahead and disassembled it and found that they have the very cheapest wire I have ever seen ( aluminum with a very loose and thin insulated cover) . Where the wire comes into the housing it was crammed in there during assembly and had been sandwiched between the end cap and inner housing which shorted it out. I called them , sent them pictures and I received a new replacement 2 months later and I was happy about it. I installed it the next day - light came on as it should and all was good…. Until It started doing the same thing 3 weeks ago and 2/3 ‘s of the lights quit and the left overs flicker and are dim ( I know it’s shorted just like the other one was). I called them, sent them pics and they had a new one in the mail the next day. I love their service but I will not be purchasing anymore of these , they are made in China-go figure. I’ll try the new one out and If it also breaks I’ll toss it in the trash and spring for something made in the USA. Anyone else having problems with their lights?
