Playing video games live with friends is great and all, and glad the kids have the chance to do it. But they get two systems going at once (Xbox and oculus) on the WiFi, and someone is watching Hulu, my wife and I get some pretty glitchy streaming quality for our work Teams and Zoom calls. So my wife found this contraption, which enables her laptop and my laptop to essentially “hardwire” in to the modem which is way faster than WiFi.
Works great if the modem is downstairs and you are upstairs. The plugs plug into the wall and use the house wiring to transfer the data. All you do is plug one into the wall and connect the ethernet cable, plug the other into whatever room you’re working in and plug the Ethernet cable into your Roku, laptop, Xbox, etc. and pair the two plugs. Whamola, now you have a hardwire connection. Surprisingly works great so far
