One shot and this crowd scatters not to return that night---

I could find zero blood in the feed pen or anywhere along the track he walked away on. So, I started my grid using the thermal scanner. After about 6-7 minutes I spot a hot spot and start towards it---wrong--cow. Turned back and hadn't gone 10 feet and see a second hot spot towards the feeder--it's him so I start towards him. Then he got up and started staggering away, but a second round in the head did him in. My guess is 180+ as he is larger than the one I shot earlier this week--but regardless, a good stinky boar. And, since this is in my home county, his tail is worth $5.

The bounty program runs this fiscal year, through the end of September I think. I have a plastic bag of tails in the freezer I need to turn in but not sure how this virus thing will figure in to that.

It's a Pulsar XQ50. Had it about a year and satisfied. Eye relief isn't perfect but I'm not through experimenting with the stock and mount placement on the AR. I can ID little critters such as 'dillos and skunks at 300 yds or so, and hogs at 600. Not sure that the max detection range is but I can see cattle a long way off. I am thinking about getting the video recorder for kicks too, but will have to dismount the scope and turn the mount around so I can have access to the video port. Not a big deal and an excuse to shoot some more!

Bought it from Outdoor Legacy--one of our site sponsors.
