I want to take friends hog hunting on occasion. These folks will just have standard rifles and optics, no NV or thermal.
Lots of conflicting info on what’s the best way to illuminate the area under and around the feeder that won’t spook hogs. What’s working best for everyone?
My current setup is an Elusive Wildlife red Kill Light mounted to the bottom edge of the feeder barrel. I’m not super impressed. It only [dimly] lights up the area on the side of the feeder it’s mounted to. When the hogs come in, they seem to avoid the light and stay on the periphery.
