Great Saturday!

Slept late, got up at 8am. Fixed the tub drain, hung up in the open position. Dined on taquitos and coffee for breakfast and headed to Honea for a family gathering. Had BBQ brisket, sausage, pulled pork, baked beans, and macaroni with bread pudding and homeade vanilla, strawberry, and dreamsicle ice cream for dessert.
Played "corn hole", water volleyball in the pool, and 42 at the domino table. Cousin even had a little green at the bottom of the hill on his place with a 93 yard chip shot and 145 yard shot over the trees. It was an awesome afternoon for all involved.

Up at 5 with Sage saying she needed to go out for a walk, back to bed, up again at 6 with her wanting to play.

Took her for last round if puppy shots, she acted with strangers like she'd never gotten affection in her life.

Stopped at the hardware store and came out to find this, I couldn't get mad.

Well fellas, it's time for a change. I'm switching over to "black only" starting this morning. I've been a blonde kinda guy all my life as I followed in my Dad's footsteps. He taught me his ways when I was young and I never desired to make the switch. I have tried it black a time or two and switched back to my blonde every time. This time it's gonna be the real deal, I'm going straight black coffee from now on.

Been a good work day around here:
Removed tractor tire sand carried it to town for repair, new tube ($40)
Got little tractor started and moved the golf cart under the carport for repairs.
Put charger on little tractor.
Put tire back on big tractor and added hydraulic fluid.
Put new batteries in golf cart, it runs really nice now.


Time to relax and get ready for Jep Robertson in Conroe tonight.

What a way to spend a weekend. I had the pleasure of hanging out with the Crawfords this weekend at their lease. They are a great group to hang out with. Thanks for the great time and laughs.

First day of school is a guaranteed traffic jam no matter which school you have to pass. I drive 2 schools every day headed into work and they were a mess this morning. Everybody wanted to drive 20-25 in the 35 at Slpendora schools on 2090.
Then the fancy new traffic light they installed over the summer at Caney Creek High school was the icing on the cake. Stupid light is on a timer so it cycles whether there are vehicles needing to cross or not from every direction, including left turn signals. Traffic came to a stop about a mile or so from the light and we moved up about 5 cars every 5 minutes while the line behind kept growing to about 2 miles. Someone must have made a phone call because 2 Conroe ISD police officers showed up and took control of the intersection. Congestion disapated pretty quick with them on the ground.

Y'all be safe around them kiddo's at the schools and in the neighborhoods.

Some fool done spun out in my yard down next to the road, probably the jerk I hollered at for driving too fast the other day. I take good care of my lawn (2 ac) and am not happy when this happens.

Got a game cam on the driveway now, let's see if they come back for more.
