My flight is seriously delayed and I'm hoping to fly out of JFK in NY to Vermont on business. If it's cancelled from the new 11:20pm departure I have everything in checked baggage. It could always be worse...... The Yankees have been pretty friendly so far.

ok it was an official 1st for me yesterday! A friend of mine's father had passed away so me & 2 other girlfriends went to the visit and our means of transportation to get there was a Helicopter One of girl's husband needed to be back so we took it so we could get there and back in a timely manner!! 
Needless to say I was a Redneck Rookie!

We landed right after the thunderstorms and lightening ended, several planes were turn away and never landed earlier. Hit the pillow at 2:30am.Comment

Had to roll south to Corpus for business this week. Been eyeballing the winds and swell and wouldn't you know it.......my trip matched a dry front arrival early AM yesterday morning swinging the winds from onshore to offshore.
Sure is nice to SURF a few solid, glassy/hollow warm water waves..watching the sun rise before work in the morning. Hard to top that but I managed to top it...knocked out 2 hours of work the same morning only to return right at lunch time to surf out the rest of the day till sundown.
Wrapped up business down south and rolled north to be back in the office today......sitting here now with a HUGE SMILE on my face.
As it's stated around the world in respect to many outdoor activities....YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE YESTERDAY! Sure glad my yesterday was there!!!!Comment

I didn't know there were wild turkeys in Vermont, I saw 2 driving this morning. The further south and close to NY I get the more obnoxious the drivers get. There was a good archery shop in Poughkeepsie NY I found on my last trip here, I'm off to hang out with Bowhunters, buy a t shirt and get some dinner. I passed a restaurant in Vermont called "Texas Roadhouse" but it was too early to stop and check it out!Comment

Being in California has made me appreciate Texas. We've been out here working and meeting with clients. California has the roughest highways and the speed limit is only 55 when towing. I'll need a chiropractor and the truck will need new shocks and tires by the time we make it back. I'm pretty sure we left a chunk of tire on hwy 5
only 900 miles to texas!
