Trying to wrap things up in the office before leaving town tomorrow. I have a b-day party in down town FW tonight for a friend to kick off my trip. Tomorrow I fly to Chicago for the Bachelor party of one of my college roommates. I am pretty excited as I have been wanting to go to Chicago for a long time.

This trip is going to be epic as we are staying in the Presidential Suite at the Belden-Stratford in Lincoln Park, Spending Opening Day on a Wrigley Field Roof Top, Have tickets inside the Wrigley on Saturday (Thanks Slugger), Private room dinner at Gibson's, and whatever else fun we can fit into the weekend. I get home at 3pm on Sunday and have a benefit at the Wild Rooster for my friend Laura at 7pm. I may not make it through this week, so just know that I have had a good run.

First week back at work after being out of pocket for two weeks...been hectic but in a good way. Lots going on with Team KHo...my catahoula tore here ACL-equivalent and requires surgery AND my wife an I are in the process of acquiring a project...a 1968 VW Karmann Ghia convertible. We made it back from Waxahachie around 10:30 last night, was a good trip and a great meeting. Stopping at Bucee's in Madisonville on the way up and back made it nice. Also stoprred at Collins Street Bakery, my diet is blown.

I here ya, we had dinner with the drivers at Ryans on 77 at 287 just before the meeting. Met in one of their private rooms, pretty nice set-up.

Started early again today, 4:15 call and headed west to Flatonia for one of my OO's who turned his truck and our trailer over in the middle of I10. Driver beside him decided to encroach a little too much and he hit the median and it was all downhill from there. Oh the excitement of a Safety Man.

Counting down my days before I return to work in the US... my last day here in Canada will be around May 19 or 20. Hard to believe that in two weeks, I will have been here for a year, seems shorter in some respects and much longer in others. This has been a particularly long rotation between home leaves, since my wife and kids came up here for spring break rather than me go home.

sorry, i'm back...national sales meeting is finally over. I've been around but out of pocket. Just finished a good cigar and cooking some grub solo in the backyard. Interesting week.

met some folks i've known long distance but was finally able to put some faces with the voices of the many conference calls i've been dealing with over the past 2 years.

I'm really blessed to be involved with such an invested company but realized i'm not wired for that sort of structured / crowded meeting arena more than once a year.

good stuff but glad it's over.
