List of things in, or attached to my truck.

1 AC 5020 (old Allis chalmers 20hp off brand 2wd tractor) with freshly cleaned radiator and new tire tube, and brush hog
9' long piece of 4"X8"X1/2" angle iron with chain hooks welded on, and logging chain wrapped around it.....for dragging behind tractor

15lb bag of throw & grow fall food plot mix
        4.5lbs ryegrass seed
        1 small bag hydrated lime
        1 small bag organic fertilizer
        Fertilizer spreader

I was gonna just brush hog the broomweed and other un-desireable weeds in front of my blinds this weekend, and hope for some more moisture to get some tasty stuff growin before fall.........then this morning I decided to try and help the situation out a little.

I see lots if dust in my near future, Cheers!

Do a rain dance for Young Cty. if you think about it tomorrow afternoon.

This is a 180 of what we talked about yesterday, but I like the new plan

Chicken....my Slack Ranch hat made the trip. It has seen Paris and a little bit of Germany.

Bout to load the wagon and head home.

                I miss Texas!

Now at the age of 23, I usually tell people I was born with "the Fever". Throughout life we go through stages to try and find where we fit in best, especially during college. I know that I always have a place in the archery and hunting world, because there are the most amazing people who are family, friends, and we have the ability to network.

I have always been that girl to hang around with the guys, not wanting to miss a thing. Countless hours building deer stands, blinds, setting out blinds, riding around the ranch watching all of the wildlife disappear into the brush, right before your eyes. In today's society we must make time for ourselves, and what more can we ask for when we have a variety of terrain and wildlife species to share with our friends and family. Slow down, listen to the birds chirp, squirrels russle through the leaves burrying acorns for the winter months, the doe so alert watching out for her off-spring, the buck wheezing during rut, chasing does in heat, the rattling of atlers knocking together. When the sun goes down the coyotes start to make music with their howling, the pigs or javelinas are right behind you crunching on corn, but you are unable to see them. The barking of axis deer in the distance, as a bobcat silently approaches you as you are his prey. And finally the deepest breathe that you can take and your heart is pounding right before you release the arrow of a magnificent buck (or in my case doe). Just remember all of these things when you are in the woods, mountains, or praires on your next hunting adventure...

P.S. please take your kids with you. These are special times in both your life and theirs. They will have more fun than you grant them. I love to volunteer my time to the youth of today and I have a blast.
Awesome! I love your passion and way with words! I looked at your profile, and suppose you're related to the great Dennis Balusek?

So when is a good time for the central A/C to go out. How about just as you start out the door for a little trip and the temperature is 100. Yep, the serviceman is on his way.

Fixing to go sit in a rifle blind and wait on this sucker. He's been coming in fairly consistently between 10 and midnight.

Any red deer that decide to show will also be shot on site!
