Today is the fourth day in a row that I have called a gobbler in. The past three days either I was calling for my dad, or I had jakes come in. I woke up this morning and went out by myself, and had a bird in the truck with in 30 minutes!

I have been burning up the roads since Bownanza with 4 or 5 presentations and 300 to 400 miles per day. Today I have a day in the office to catch up on the mountain of paper work and I have a doctor's appointment which I am excited about. Hopefully I have been doing what he has asked me to and it goes well.

Tomorrow is back on the road to Lewisville, Denton and Oklahoma City. Friday is Oklahoma City, Burleson, Granbury, and then to Glen Rose to stay the night at my college roommates parents ranch (to bad Turkey season is not open). Then off to Shreveport for a bachelor party and then it is back to Glen Rose on Sunday and then I drive to Tulsa, OK on Sunday to start my work week in Tulsa and Arkansas. I guess I can sleep when I am dead.

What did you think about it?

I couldn't put it down Joey, it is an amazing book and I would love to see it as a movie. Some of the stuff those guys did and put up with blows my mind. God bless our men and women who fought so hard and did with so little for our freedom. I may need it again if I have to do another essay as it would be one worth writing about.

As for the TSA test, I must have done great as I got a contingent offer of employment. You boys are gonna be in trouble if I'm working the gate when you come through the airport! Especially that crazy redneck from San Jose.

All my play time is over and now it is work time. I am heading out on the road to sell the 2011 bat line. I am leaving in a few for Oklahoma and over the next 2.5 weeks I will see about 75 accounts.

Anything significantly changed in those bats for this year?

One of our Petes dropped a drive line on Tuesday. $450 tow bill and $3800 damages. First time in the 5 years I've been workin' for Midco I've seen a dropped drive line...until two days later when one of our KW's dropped one in Oklahoma. Ugh. Hopefully they don't come in threes!

I'll temper that with some good news. I went to Laredo a month ago, basically simply to have a meeting to put me in position to be in SOTX for a work weekend at CDLC. Ended up having a good meeting, got a referral to the transportation manager with Del Monte Fresh, and as of this week have a new customer hauling MORE avocados and tomatoes out of Laredo, McAllen and Arizona! Also picked up some new lanes from Pilgrims going down to Laredo. Y'all help me out and eat lots of chicken salads!
